Bridge to ReBIO - a mentorship opportunity

Bridge to ReBIO is an after-school research program housed in the university’s Institute for Regenerative Medicine (IRM) that links local Philadelphia high school students with University of Pennsvlania, Haverford College, and Drexel undergraduate and graduate students to develop and carry-out science fair projects that they can enter in the city-fair.  All mentors are supported by IRM faculty and program staff and have full access to state-of-the art research labs.

Commitments include:

  • Providing mentoring to two high school students until March
  • Coordinating and attending weekly planning and research meetings at local schools & UPenn
  • Developing high school student research project proposals by January
  • Overseeing implementation of research project from January–March

All supplies and transportation are paid for and a $500 stipend will be awarded to all mentors who complete the program!
